One commented on in earlier post was scholarship looking explicitly at hunter gatherer societies of thousands of years ago and trying to understand seriously their quality of life, and if at all High, how that could be relevant to human beings today. And the conclusion of the article was that the quality of life was very high. And of course, sustainable as opposed to that of our culture, which is terminal.

Ignite Soul blog June 11. Yesterday a highly shocking awakening. Jesus was addressing exactly this period and time.

Several things collided yesterday I'll guess. Listening to the 1st 5 or 10% of the gospel translation and harmonization by Tolstoy. And the new clarity to James this last week or so that the job is to Pioneer living joyfully in the face of the existential material hell now in final accelerated stages of unfolding for the children and grandchildren and few downstream survivors.

What came to mind from memory was significant study

Although dealing with significant fatigue from yesterday's Marathon good productivity tackling the now reasonably clean translation and harmonization by Tolstoy.

The focus of this effort is to deal with just one aspect of what Tolstoy is sharing. Tolstoy's audience is those interested in the man Jesus and probably from a Christian perspective. My immediate concern is not. It is to extract what can be extracted as to the way that Jesus understood the human condition and the human opportunity for optimal experience.

It is quite an interesting and somewhat exciting body of work. Only 5 or 10% complete. Will James ever know how much his current understanding of things is influenced by earlier deep study of Jesus and how much is a matter of Jesus and james coming to a similar understanding of life.

Very substantial to James and possibly central to his life now is attempting to do his share of pioneering for people downstream how to live a joyful life in material hell. Oddly, in this initial work described above by James, he is finding himself surprised to see that Jesus seems to be doing the same thing. In part James is surprised because this is very much the standing that domanic crossan had of Jesus and James has studied that. But James had forgotten.

Tremendously aided is James by the many tens of hours of work he has now completed for a clean electronic version of these four gospel Translations all 12 chapters. He is now for the first time able to have his smartphone application, at voice, free, read to him this entire 900 page work. Yesterday probably 40 or 80 pages were read to him. James is now working through the text of those same pages.

To James it is not clear that there ever have been. In part because these three are among the one-in-a-million few that have internalised what the prior great Souls have shared with us, and at least brought these great early contributions current and to some degree went beyond.

And I find that all three although no indication is that they were close or in close communication, or any communication at all, all three were impressed with and influenced by the other two.

Most of yesterday was spent on the tedious and important task of creating those extremely clean copies of the first and second portion of Tolstoy, four Gospels translated and harmonized, 12 chapters in all. If things go as planned then by tomorrow evening the two copies will be finished. Then James will discover if his computer is powerful enough to create the 900-page combined document that is desired.

while doing the technical work of spell checking and formatting Etc, most of yesterday was spent listening to Schweitzer, and the estimation that James has of Schweitzer as a soul and a contributor went from extremely high even higher. He has gone about as far as any human has toward full Humanity. Those one-in-a-million wishing to fully ignite their own soul cannot afford not to study his easily accessible materials.

And some of the time yesterday and much of it today was spent listening to Rauschenbusch, the most significant Creator through his writings of the men Martin Luther King jr. That had no interest in the profession of Christianity until in Boston University or Boston College, he read rauschenbusch, Christianity and social crisis I believe is the name.

Today some time was spent in the journey listening to some articles that have been put in a list and several were really extraordinary.

A major leep forward this seems to be. Some of us see it differently. What?

Very hard to articulate. With this unexpected Epiphany this morning several things happened with James. James is not alone. James is not the only one with these perceptions. This matters to James why? Because it substantial Lee increases the odds that in the rare encounter with an undead soul to be able to articulate this truth will increase the odds of that not completely dead soul hearing. Of course.

Billions of people today and throughout history understand Jesus, God, Confucius, Mohammad, Judaism… a certain way. But a few of us under stand it differently.

Well, James, that's pretty odd that more than 15 months after you created this site you're just realizing this now? Yes, quite. But there it is.

Ignite the soul log May 28th. Jesus religion is the soul in charge. Inhabiting soul. Not flesh or head.

Such a curious idea did Jesus have. That as we are born of the force of life we are of the force of life within our flesh. But that we can live without awareness of this and imagine that we are of Flesh not soul.

In studying, listening, editing, compiling the work of Leo Tolstoy, becoming immersed in his understanding of the teaching of Jesus, it is almost hard to imagine any other way of being. And then being in our sick culture it is hard to imagine what Tolstoy and Jesus were speaking to us.

How incomprehensible for James to Simply make the purpose of his life to inhabit the world that Jesus and Tolstoy speak to us of. And how may be the most important thing that anyone can do. No one living there would be destroying the planet. No one living there would be destroying the life of others.

That seems fairly worthwhile, seeing if one can be an example of that way of being.

But not to suggest that anything's going to be saved of any magnitude. It is not.

And yet if to the soul the most magnificent thing is soul, then increasing the chance of just one other Soul being saved is the joyful thing to do.

Ignite Soul log May 27th. What if we all lived as a loving piece of creator?

Tolstoy absolutely concluded the this is what we were supposed to do, that this is what we are born to do, and absolutely that this is what Jesus taught and did.

I just can't at the moment think of a better way of using my life to serve than trying to do the same. It is not what I've been doing but I have definitely been moving in that direction. If I continue to move in that direction, maybe more aggressively now, I don't know what I'll find. But I think we need me to find out.

Ignite Soul log May 26th. It's all going down. Being soul, of creator, for joy, and for others, the work to be done.

More hours of work and study of Jesus teachings, as translated by the extraordinary Soul, Leo Tolstoy. James Studied Tolstoy quite deeply 20 years ago. And now again after 20 years more experience. Everything decent is in flames. Possibly in this extreme Darkness the light of Jesus through the Tolstoy translation is that much clear?

I thought so periodically over the last 20 years and then been distracted away. Again I'm finding myself persuaded. Toward intensity? Toward being distracted away again?

Not many years ago a beautiful poem, at least it seemed that way to me at the time, was about, kindness is the only thing that makes sense anymore.

being that of creator, Creator rains and provides sunshine on the evil and on the good. Being that. Which is the soul in charge. Is that the only thing that makes sense anymore?

At the moment I can't think of anything that makes as much sense.

This will be interesting going forward.

Part of being of the Soul, inseparable, is being glad to die at any time, though not careless of the opportunity to be of service. All those of any goodness to retain that goodness in the accelerating hell that is the United States, the den of evil, to hold on to that goodness, their soul, must learn to be glad to die when the time comes. Not knowing when that is. But being ready. I think James is.

Much time spent with Tolstoy’s Four gospel translation.

What did Tolstoy find? I don't know. I never will for sure. That is, I will not know if he found the teachings of the man Jesus. But certainly he says he did, and he thinks he did.

But I do know he found a teaching that saved his extraordinary being from suicide and ignited his soul for the next 40 years. And it ignited him in a way that he ignited the man Gandhi, who was instrumental in ignited Martin Luther King, and toast toy with some of his writings in directly.

On a different note, awakened James was with a shocking thought smacking him in the face. Holy f***. Jesus has not ignited one in a billion souls. Tolstoy has not ignited one in a billion souls. The dozens of the souls at the lsgiabeing.com site have each not ignited more than one in a billion souls. Entertained? Yes. Ignited emulators? No! The historical record is horribly clear!

James exploded twice today. And a couple more little explosions. Exhausted after part of the journey tonight he took a quick nap at a little pull out off the main road. It was steep getting back on the road and the rear wheel did not gain traction. So it was very very very slow getting out onto the highway. No cars in sight when James started. Very little traffic. As he got onto the road a white car came up at probably 60 mi an hour. Blaring it's Horan. No f****** problem. It could easily if gone around. No traffic. I f****** exploded. Turn stuck my torso out of the vehicle screamed at the vehicle, what? Was this horrible? Of James? Does he feel like a terrible failure? Does he think he did something really awful? No, no, and no. But is he glad he did it? No. What better world is the outcome of that? That is not a different way of being. There's no hoping that. So what he's glad about is that he was aware, he was a body at that instant, not a soul, but he didn't see it coming, and now he has a chance to reflect and prepare for the next time.

James is understanding his opportunity, really the opportunity for all of us, to ignite soul, and to disrupt the status quo of the head and flesh in charge, respectfully, thoughtful E. Disruption is much easier and James is working hard to establish a ratio of his time, the large proportion on ignited, starting with himself, and a small smaller portion on disruption. Having said that, the greatest strategic opportunity  James senses right now is to complete the project he began several months ago, creating a clean easily accessible copy of the Tolstoy Four Gospels translation and Harmon is Asian that is on the web in really old hard to access PDFs. Today he listened to the summary text that Tolstoy has throughout his huge Lee technical volumes, and they're extraordinary, those explanatory and summary texts.

Note. Something very significant happens, when after 67 years, this individual James for the first time begins asking himself, who is that, James? Is that your soul? Such things prompt that question as finding himself in a point of frustration, maybe over how things tangle, over some discomfort in his body. And more surprising, but so useful, when he finds himself twirling around in his own brain. Pretty much each time James instantly realizes, I prefer being in my soul. And almost instantly transports there. This is pointed to width the capacity for meditating. But at least for James what he's just outlined here is a dramatic enhancement. Profound.

Ignite Soul Log May 22nd. Dramatically important new tool. MMASS DD.

Written has James in recent months of his challenge of having a sufficiently intense grasp of the clients he is serving to be as fully ignited himself as he needs and wants to be.

This is substantially being supplied Now by a much more important grasp of the problem, massive mutilation assault starvation of soul, destruction disorder. MMASS DD. At his best, periodically, he brings this long but necessary acronym, and the individual words through his Consciousness and becomes much less distracted and much more ignited in his work.

In part with this Aid, this greatly enlightened View, despite very cold Stormy Weather, James has been quite productive throughout this day. Among other things he has begun formally organizing his priorities in the perspective of this diagnosis.

Long-planned has James to conduct the soul filling, yet somewhat tedious work, of bringing to the world a clean organized copy of the four gospel translation from the original Greek conducted by Tolstoy which in process saved his own life and created Gandhi and probably Martin Luther King jr. James concluded that there were things that he needed to do first so that his nervous system was open to those, including his own translation of Jesus 200 versus, but today was the beginning of that study and rendering of Tolstoy four gospels. What a privilege. And what an extraordinary confirmation to James of the foundation that James is building his work on. Only occasionally does Tolstoy use the word soul but that is absolutely what he is understanding through his translation of the teachings and example of the man Jesus.

The notion of Detachment, Buddhist I think in origin, is something that I dislike. Not an idea that I am fond of ever. But some form of it is what I'm experiencing, a superior form I believe.

With practice my awareness of when I am being my body, or enmeshed with discomforts or unhappiness or pleasures of the body, with practice that awareness is becoming more reflexive, rapid, frequent. And that allows me to make a choice. James, is this what you want to be right now? Always the answer is no. It's a very glad answer. Very glad is James to have the choice. And each time so far he has been able to easily make the choice and step back into his soul, lovingly aware of the calls of the body but choosing for the joy of it to be inhabiting his soul as supervisor. Each time that is who and what James wants to be. Surprised he will be if he ever finds that he wants to be something else.

Not infrequently when these choices arise James is fleetingly aware that this could be practice for someday in a trump prison where prolonged torture might be a possibility. Does James expect this? James is aware that it's a possibility. And he is aware, although this is not his reason for making the choice, he is aware that this is practice. Important? Significant? Sufficient? Don't know. But he's glad of it.

Yesterday James reported becoming more of a body than a soul. This was so boring.

Quite a test today, between 50 and 60 mile an hour plus gusts. Even much stronger than had been forecast. It can be quite terrifying for the body. And invisible fist easily capable of destroying us.

The soul remained a loving compassionate supervisor of body and head. Few exceptions.

Ignite Soul log May 15. Spinoza added to the must study list.

Searching for Spinoza, neuroscientist Antonio damasio. Interesting read. Valuable to James. Much good and many Mines to step on.

He is drawn to Spinoza and now so am I.

Scientific integrity and Brilliant on the part of damasio. Emotions are largely automatic. Virtually every species has them. Feelings are a more recent development that enable higher developed nervous systems to deal with those otherwise unconscious intangible emotions. They are in a sense the language and the manageable attributes of the automatic emotions.

Minefield? Damacio is a wonderful cerebral cortex. But not much of a developed limbic system, soul. At times he does a remarkable job of speaking clinically About Soul. But not being a highly developed soul he is Clumsy, word salad, and unintentionally disrespectful and dismissive of soul. He is deeply drawn to Spinoza, but in the end, he has to reduce Spinosa, possibly a highly developed Soul, to elements of cerebral cortex. And if the reader does not understand this then they are there by encouraged to dismiss Soul as well. So often. George vaillant. Karen Armstrong. Certainly Brock and Parker.

James got terribly thrown off balance by a very unhappy body tonight. Important learning experience. Of course it's not his body's fault. Looks like it's set off quite a storm. Because James was not operating it properly it got really really uncomfortable, it just would not approach the performance of recent voyages. James didn't know what to do. So his soul rather than remain as loving supervisor entirely in mashed in the Affairs of the body. Not a very good example except that it is recoverable and an important learning experience.

And some level of recovery is occurring.
