Whence and how, I do not know and cannot learn.” Further on he describes how “ the crumbs ” spontaneously combine with one another until they assume a finished form in his head. “ All the finding and making goes on in me as in a vivid dream.” Finally, he starts to write and since it is ready in his mind “ it goes pretty quickly on to paper.”...
