Solar RV cycling log July 16. Rust, friction, in the locomotive driveshaft. How helpful is that? That's what energy, resistance, in the lower legs is.

almost certain this seems. Surprising it has been so long in coming.  but experience and metrics certainly indicate that this is the case.

James is self diagnosing and correcting much more
quickly than before. and starting with Better mechanics installed.

immediately James performance was implementing more of the principles spoken of recently than was usually taking half an hour or more to come into place. But curiously the final piece to come into place after maybe only 10 or 15 minutes was 0 energy outside of the thighs. And with this finely the relative, relative, relative effortlessness, we are climbing between 6 and 9% road, the relative effort lessness returned when that notion of 0 energy outside the thighs came into place. Metrics of 150 up to 175 w human were constantly maintained for 10 or 15 minute long stretches which were quite sustainable and experienced as less extreme then recent months climbs. And finally as James tried to understand how this could be, the notion in the subject line of this post came to mind. Energy outside of the thigh is rust, friction, resistance to be overcome by the thighs, in the lower legs which in a cyclist of the moderate competence that is James is resistance in the drive train.

a serious cyclist might read this in horror or bent over in laughter reflecting on how James is sacrificing 5 or 10 or even 20% of possible energy by not appropriately using the muscles in the lower legs. So be it. James is getting plenty of exercise relatively mindless and fluid and non frustrating, frustrating being very distracting, with the technique described here.

Important note. The above is anywhere between hard to achieve, impossible to achieve, and meaningless, at the low rpm that James was traveling. His minimal RPM this morning is probably 60. Versus the 30 up to 40 of all these Winter months. Were they must take a mistake? possibly. Though who cares? Lol. at today's range Of rpm with this much higher wattage being maintained James can get in an hour the exercise that was taking an hour and a 1/2 prior. And probably at much lower stress on his body tissue and structure.
