THE CHOSEN: WHAT "THE LEAST OF THESE" MAKES OF THE LIVING.
"Many are called, but few are CHOSEN," taught Jesus.
I never understood this until recently. Here it is.
True example: A year ago dozens of folks are on a subway platform. A white fella passes out and falls perpendicularly on the tracks as a train was rushing into the station (the least of these). A black fella jumped down, moving them both between the tracks, and lay on top of him. Asked later why he did it the answer was, "He was me," or some such thing.
All the onlookers were "Called" by their eyes and Humanity to act. But only one was Chosen by the situation - irresistibly grabbed - Chosen by the situation.
But among the onlookers and and subsequent News Paper readers - maybe next time more will be Chosen. That's how it works. Humanity breeds Humanity. Inhumanity breeds Inhumanity.
Gandhi was Chosen, and then others.
Civil Rights Marchers were Chosen, and then others....
All hope lies with the Chosen.

Well, I though by now I'd lost everything. Boy was I wrong. The folks that have been an unbelievable God-send to me for the last 8 years have terminated our relationship. What a crushing blow.
I bleed profusely every day over this.
But, as suggested by the saying, "If it doesn't kill you, you grow," it is an unbelievable blessing.
I am now freer of illusion and constraints than ever I have been. I am freer to see and tell the Truth than ever I have been.
I am freer now to serve these beloved friends, and all my sistersbrothers than ever before I have been, now.
No, there is not a particle of bitterness.

I've spent most of the years of my adult life in the midst of folks that did not Love me - especially the person I was married to for 26 years.
I was excruciatingly LONELY until after 17 years or so I realized that if I Loved, if I was in solidarity with her (or anyone / everyone) the LONELINESS was instantly eliminated.
And NO, neither before nor after did I every witness on particle of Solidarity / Love from her to me. Unnecessary to the elimination of Loneliness. Love. Be in Solidarity with the least of these. You will NEVER be Lonely again.
This is a psychological fact. NOTHING else is certain to eliminate true Loneliness as is Solidarity WITH others; all others.
Only YOU can prevent this.

HYPOCRICY DETECTORS: B.O., TATTOOS, LONG NAILS AND HAIR...
Now remember, little if ANY Sin / Error / Hypocrisy is conscious! I'm making a diagnosis, not a condemnation here in what follows.
I had no foresight to the indispensable value of B.O., tatoos, long fingernails and hair, until I saw it with my own eyes. Someone that I saw as the best Total friend / colleague by far that God has ever given me was unmasked - terminated our relationship - as my B.O. became more extreme and my fingernails grew through neglect due to my single minded efforts to breathe life into a dying hero - I live at war. (The hero is now in recovery for the first time in many, many years by the way. Pray,)
This termination came weeks ago and I still bleed; feels like the wound will never heal.
But what an incredible blessing, what a gift for us both to have escaped a deadly Hypocrisy weeks, months, years... sooner than otherwise might have occurred. So much time Saved. The gift of Time, which is the gift of Life.
It never was a Friendship at all, because true Friendships / Love cannot end. It was / is I think a POTENTIAL Friendship / Love; but maybe it was never that; rather an infatuation, a fantasy (entirely altruistic), a mirage....
I don't expect I'll ever know.
But I'll be forever grateful for the heroic kindnesses shown me; and for the B.O. , long finger nails, etc. that they are likely to remain part of me - HYPOCRISY DETECTORS - that I am otherwise far too blind without.

A year and a half ago God took mercy on me and my pitiful struggles toward Life / Truth / regaining-my-Humanity and revealed to me the Truth that Life lay along the Path of never again working for money, but living or dying solely within the relationship of "Family," from each according to herhis ability, to each according to herhis need. My yearnings had been tearing me in that direction forever but the clarity that day at the White House on hunger strike for Darfur was a Divine gift. It was soooo the Clarity I had been searching for. And thus I've LIVED WITH A SHAMEFUL WEALTH OF JOY ever since.
Today I've received the next installment - Life comes, is developed by, and is to be accepted ONLY from PeaceWarriors / Humanitarians / Christlikes / WorldFamily, come what may. ("Christlikes?" What Jesus attempted to restore us to - "Our Father.... (Jesus said, including you and me WITH Himself.)" "Whoever claims to abide in Jesus aught to live just like Jesus lived;" John's 2nd letter. Why not "Christians?" Christians are Pagans and Zionist-jews that stole and have masqueraded under the "Christ" brand for wholly evil, anti-Christlike reasons; the greatest most murderous hijacking / hoax / atrocity / holocaust in history.)
Is all this ranting of mine Exclusionary? Elitist? How could I have been so blind, I wonder. This is among the most profound, hopeful awakenings on my part in the last 10 years! Eureka! Thank God! When I was in the computer industry turning around failing organizations I was acutely aware of the ULTIMATE importance of having the right people in the organization. Everything was possible with, nothing was possible without. Truly and consciously I would much rather have had vacant seats, than to have those seats filled with non-zealous, non-selfdisciplined, non-committed folks; and frequently so it went. Since leaving industry, and especially since entering God's business, Saving Humanity, I've totally, TOTALLY overlooked this ALL IMPORTANT ASPECT. In industry would I have hired / engaged with someone because they were nice, because they were pleasant, because they were kind, because their WORDS were agreeable? NO! These are important ingredients but totally insufficient in and of themselves to achieve anything great. No, the crucial ingredient I knew to look for in a recruit / partner / fellow traveler / contributor then was potential for Vision / Burning Desire / Fire / Passion / Courage / Commitment / Self-Sacrifice / Self-Discipline / Complete Devotion, Surrender and Submission to Mission. This has been nowhere on my radar screen, a profound and total blind spot day after day, year after year since joining God's Business - Humanity. Thank God for this new clarity. God forgive me if I forget again.
There is, there IS PeaceWarrior / Christlike (health) and everything else is Death (cancer); everything else, no matter how kIND, how nICE is the end of Life-worth-living on earth - lIVING Death. Extreme view? Your heart is extreme - it NEVER for an instant has stopped to think of itself; it NEVER has stopped beating, stopped Living entirely for the body - for the "least of these." Same for the skin cell, the eye, the ear, the liver.... Such total, complete, 100% service, EXTREME SERVICE of the BODY is the way, the only way of Life NOTHING ELSE IS LIFE. Is all this ranting of mine Exclusionary? Elitist? How could I have been so blind, I wonder. This is among the most profound, hopeful awakenings on my part in the last 10 years! Eureka! Thank God! When I was in the computer industry turning around failing organizations I was acutely aware of the ULTIMATE importance of having the right people in the organization. Everything was possible with, nothing was possible without. Truly and consciously I would much rather have had vacant seats, than to have those seats filled with non-zealous, non-selfdisciplined, non-committed folks; and frequently so it went. Since leaving industry, and especially since entering God's business, Saving Humanity, I've totally, TOTALLY overlooked this ALL IMPORTANT ASPECT. In industry would I have hired / engaged with someone because they were nice, because they were pleasant, because they were kind, because their WORDS were agreeable? NO! These are important ingredients but totally insufficient in and of themselves to achieve anything great. No, the crucial ingredient I knew to look for in a recruit / partner / fellow traveler / contributor then was potential for Vision / Burning Desire / Fire / Passion / Courage / Commitment / Self-Sacrifice / Self-Discipline / Complete Devotion, Surrender and Submission to Mission. This has been nowhere on my radar screen, a profound and total blind spot day after day, year after year since joining God's Business - Humanity. Thank God for this new clarity. God forgive me if I forget again.

Imagine such an enormous achievement - killing God. Who wouldn't be proud.
But the God of creation (God IS the natural laws of Life, Physics, Psychology... distilled within us as our Humanity (the opposite of In/Unhumanity...) that are the Force of Creation) - God - will have the final say. When we've violated the Truths of Life sufficiently beyond a point - Entropy has its way - Life-worth-living ends. We've now so effectively killed God in ourselves and in those around us that Entropy has no opposition. How so? It is not God / Humanity that has us amusing ourselves while women are raped in Darfur. It is not God / Humanity that has us in comfortable homes while billions need what we hoard and lavish upon ourselves. It is not God / our Humanity that has we Americans sit and watch while our tax dollars are used to rape and pillage, kill, starve and deform the weak around the world in order to extort their resources....
Some of this is on my mind because there is a fellow in the community in which I reside who is a fanatic about the literal story of Noah, and the flood. Of course I absolutely reject the notion of a sentient Creator who would turn around and "flood," willfully destroy what SheHeIt was responsible for, as utter nonsense. But as an allegory, as a metaphor it is exactly what is in the final stages of unfolding here on planet earth - terrorism (of which we in the US are the greatest purveyors by many orders of magnitude), environmental disintegration, arms race (about to accelerate into the stratosphere); looming Police State; brilliantly disguised Fascist State... THE FLOOD IS UPON US.
But Start, we are so nice to each other in our "families;" we are so extremely pleasant to mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles cousins, grandma's, grandpa's, "friends like us," and even on occasion those in our chURCH, strangers and wierdos. I've come to realize, quite to my surprise that this type of "family love" is precisely THE mortal sin. Such "immediate family" Love existed in Jesus day, predominated in Jesus day. Was Jesus against such Love? Of course not. But He was explicit - "even the heathens (pagans?) do that." No, what Jesus DIED for, His entire desperate attempt to "Save" humanity was to show us that Life depends entirely on Love for the LEAST OF THESE; LOVE FOR THE ENEMY - AS ONESELF - AS ONE'S "IMMEDIATE FAMILY;" not one iota less or different - but rather MORE because the least-of-these needs more! If our finger is bleeding, if our finger is at that moment "the least of these," that finger, that tiny remote part of our body gets all the attention, right? Jesus died to telly us that regardless of how daunting, how impossibly high this bar of performance seems to be set - the immutable truth of Creation is that Life would/will come to an end, in a million horrible ways, if humankind did not regain this God given capacity - Humanity - that every child is born with, which every child manifests until they are taught that there are some folks that are to be cared for, and it was unavoidable, morally neutral and "natural," to not care, to care less about others - the stranger, the enemy, the weirdo, the extremist.... Even CANCER does this. This is precisely what cancer does - it cares / massively nurtures those around it - those like it - and they flourish and multiply and prosper - and the body is neglected, and the body dies, and then the cancer that has so enjoyed itself, and flourished - it too dies a horrible death - first the Spirit / Humanity / God / Truth-DNA of Life is killed and dies, then the body.

This phrase has been playing around in my mind constantly for the last week or so, and it was an extreme lightning bolt of illumination for me a year or so ago when I read it in Dellinger's "Radical Nonviolence" which is in your audio collection. Do you see the implications? 'Nobody chose war / prostitution / divorce / rape / murder / vehicular homicide / environmental destruction / disturbing the peace / fascism / depleted uranium / ACTIVIST-IMPOTENCE - collusion... THEY CHOSE SELFISHNESS AND THE RESULT WAS (SEE ABOVE).
The phrase has been in my mind as I've worked these endless, lonely weeks on the project for you as my life-long struggle with addiction to (online) pornography arose. Also in my mind as I've struggled, more successfully than ever (so far) with my addiction, is something new. "Start, YES you want to indulge in the addiction, with practically every ounce of strength that you have. BUT THAT IS NOT THE QUESTION. The question is, do you want to leave the realm of hopefulness / helpfulness / Life / Goodness / Love / HOPE / GOD for the time it will take to indulge your addiction, your SELFISHNESS?' Brother, I've never had this last "question", this CHOICE in mind before; I've never seen it; and it has been a Salvation for me. For entirely selfish reasons, now that I have SEEN the choice I have had encouraging new levels of success (complete) against my addiction. YES I want to indulge in pornography. NO I don't want to leave the realm of Goodness / Godness that is available for me to inhabit. I never saw that this is what I was choosing - to leave Life / Goodness / Hope / Potential... for my addiction, for my selfishness. I'm finding that if when the temptation arises I BRING THIS CHOICE CONSCIOUSLY TO MY MIND, to ask my self, "Start, do you want to leave Goodness?," it causes me, if FORCES me to make much more Joyful decisions.

Jesus died to let the genie out of the bottle - the genie of Life, Love, the Divine within us - HUMANITY.
Then a state appointed gate keeper arrived on the scene to get that genie back in the bottle and to keep it there. Within 200 years the job was done and it has been maintained ever since. Yes, the cHURCH - Christ's Crucifier; Jesus Jailer. They have brilliantly succeeded in rendering Jesus totally harmless to the state (and actually a huge asset!) for 1800 years now. Quite an achievement.

cHURCH: A WEEKLY SHOWER FOR WE PROSTITUTES
There are certain professions that might be almost literally impossible to endure if it were not for soap and water - a shower: coal mining, prostitution (of the sexual kind), stall mucking.... This is what Sunday church is, right? It is the "shower," the opportunity to get clean so we can return to our lives of cancerous prostitution - using our divine gifts NOT exclucively for the "body," but rather for selfish (me and mine) personal gain; a way of being that we, our consciences could not stand but for that Sunday "shower" that cHURCH offers.
IT IS RIGHT FOR A SKIN CELL TO GO CANCEROUS WHEN....
It is right for a skin cell to go cancerous when... what? When other skin cells go cancerous? When almost ALL of the other skin cells go cancerous? NEVER, it is never right for a skin cell to go cancerous. Right? Cancer is NEVER the correct choice for a healthy cell... nor for any way of life. The only option of healthy Life is to do what the body needs done; if no other cell is doing it - this is irrelevant; if it will do no good - this is irrelevant. And, until the last cell succumbs, THERE IS HOPE FOR THE BODY, because there is life left; Life that can Save others.
And what is cancer? Cancer is that form of life that simply detaches from its purpose visa vis the "body," and attends to its personal needs over the needs of the "body." And yet this is precisely the form of life that our current world culture exhorts us to embrace with every fiber of our being. It is NEVER the correct choice.
