Beyond the question of economic distribution lies the question of moral relations; and beyond the moral relations to men lies the question of the religious communion with that spiritual reality in which we live and move and have our deep- est being — with God, the Father of our spirits. He had to show them that the ordinary life of selfishness and hate and anxiety and chafing ambition and covetousness is no life at all, and that they must enter into a new world of love and solidarity and inward contentment. There was no service that he could render to men which would equal that. All other help lay in concentric circles about that redemption of the spirit and flowed out from it. No comprehension of Jesus is even approximately true which fails to understand that the heart of his heart was religion. No man is a follower of Jesus in the full sense who has not through him entered into the same life with God. But on the other hand no man shares his life with God whose religion does not flow out, naturally and without ^ effort, into all relations of his life and reconstructs everything — that it touches. Whoever uncouples the religious and the social life has not understood Jesus. Whoever sets any bounds for the reconstructive power of the religious life over THE SOCIAL AIMS OF JESUS 49 the social relations and institutions of men, to that extent denies the faith of the Master.

Being friends with is a deadly empowerment of my head and flesh. For my freshman year in college this was miraculously avoided and I was friends to everyone. But then it stopped in the miracle ended and I didn't know why. Similar thing last night. I have more and more respect for the early monasteries. Going to create a place of sanity.

Resurrecting a human soul is of similar magnitude to unlocking the power of an atom. And more difficult. I believe this is a correct analogy. I believe this is what Jesus gave his life to, Gandhi, and others.

Become loving of each soul, more than your own life. Somehow, any hope at all is in this.

What I do, what I know, I want these to be what the world needs with me. But no, what I am, my level of competence as a soul, that is what is needed of me. Time to get to work. And you?

James has made tantalizing progress it seems at unraveling the mystery of why freshman college year was a miracle for him and then evaporated. What were its components? What was going on? 

Recent posts have identified 2 elements that near certainly were happening here it is James was seeing people and souls, not as flesh and head. And valuing joy instead of pleasure.

Continued Head in flesh given respectful grateful input but not a vote. So, visualizations and I think Was what had the vote and the confidence and faith from James. He had been taught by his prior 18 years that head and flesh being given a vote if not the decisive vote was misery. 

a 3rd item has now emerged being visual primarily. Giving Primacy to what the eyes take in as opposed to what the mind deconstructs of that input. This makes sense in as much as it empowered Soul over head and flesh.

This is tentative, but worth mentioning and considering.

So impoverished, joyless, living life as one's own, instead of belonging to the poorest souls.

Progress. P2. I was blind and now I see the joy of soul in charge.

I don't remember when this sight was lost. It may be several years. I remember when I gained it and held onto it for many years. It was during my activism in Washington DC in roughly the 2008 time frame. This is well after I had left to the death grip of the material world but what happened was an extreme step. I don't remember the

James has been working really really really really hard in this direction and seen almost no progress. But maybe that's changing now.

1.14.20 A tough, important, experience last night. Failure and learning opportunity.

Notice. Thru an oversight James thinks he did not post this when three or four days ago it occurred. This was a really important experience for him and it has helped spark considerable growth since.

 On this peaceful remote Mississippi shoreline about a mile and a 1/2 from the casino is a well paved pull out where multiple times now saw and I have spent the night. And as is not atypical the silence is sometimes broken, sometimes all night long, by someone in a car also in the area pull out with their radio going . Last night was such a thing. James had attempted to go to sleep a little earlier than normal And the music which it turns out was somewhat funneled by the shape of James vehicle and roof, was driving him nuts.  and nothing in his mind that he tried to distract himself was working. He thought he knew who it was, a fela in a older truck that lives out of his truck. And finally, James quite unhappy with himself, he decided to speak to the individual. When he poked his head out he saw it was not that vehicle it was someone else entirely and he decided not to speak to the individual. It seems unlikely that the vehicle saw James but within 10 minutes or so it was gone. 

This was fairly substantial for James. To realize that in some circumstances he was unable to stay with soul in charge that his Flesh could be so empowered, maybe the mind so empowered that they Hi Jack James and drove him nuts. What if James winds up in a torture cell sometime? He frequently thinks for this and tries to be prepared. Such a silly little thing last night showed him he is far from prepared. 

This after yesterday writing at some length his dismay at least with the amount of time that Sorokin has spent in the ways and power of love talking about the would be experts of the sole doing all sorts of atrocities to themselves to free themselves from the tyrany of head and Flash. Upon reflecting on James failure last night he gained some sympathy for their efforts.

I was thrilled to die last night for the soul joy of my murderer.

This only in my imagination, but this was new, and it feels like really really really really important growth. Time will tell. But it feels like really really really really important growth. In a waking dream in the middle of the night I was in a torture cell And was concerned not with the torture happening to me but entirely with the soul of my torturer which itself was being tortured by the head and flesh of this tormented perverted corrupt individual. This is who and what I want to be. For the joy of it.  For the freedom from the straitjacket that otherwise is my head and flesh, that I Revere, but that I do not want to be constrained by. And maybe I am moving in this direction even when I'm awake. Let it be so.

Greta sounds exactly like me 5 years ago on that 50 day water only hunger strike in front of the Canadian embassy, maybe it was only 39 days. At the end of the 420 day round-the-clock occupation. Why is that worth pointing out? Because that's how the soul in charge works. And we need more people, whether the world can be saved or not, we need more people to choose to put their soul in charge for the joy of it.

A Primitive step was understanding fire as a god. Scientific understanding was transformational. Religions are deathly primitive.
