She was not chastising me. She was concerned, we did not discuss the situation further. But I'm not called to make that my business. I'm called to serve as long as I'm able, and then whatever happens, happens. How do I divert resources to the time when I become disabled, when there are so many able people that have no resources no fault of their own but a consequence of our selfishness?

ReplyDeleteWe met outside the White House many years ago back when I chaperoned students to Washington, D.C. The first time we met you were on a post at the peace vigil and then years later when you were posted outside the Canadian Embassy. You always took time to answer questions my students had and then we arranged for you to talk with students in my classroom back in Wisconsin via Skype probably 10 years ago or so.
I am sorry to read about your recent health situation but was glad to see you are still doing well spiritually. I hope that your journey is able to continue in the near future. Wishing you all the best. -Matt
