dearly love their comrades, when in the midst of battle, are likely to be a bit,
unintentionally "rough;"  or they are not responding appropriately to the REAL emergency.
Sorry, in advance, or in arrears, as the case may be.  Distance yourself from me,
or drop me altogether when you must.

I need 10,000 of me right now to achieve what needs to be achieved!!!!!!!!!!!  At least.  Soon, it will be too late.

This is such a crucial time for Humanity.  Such crucial, ultimate, for-all-time
decisions on the direction of America and therefore the world ARE BEING DECIDED, NOW
including...

• Whether we completely crucify President Obama or fight alongside him, shield him, and win; unlike
  how we failed in the opportunity presented by JFK, RFK, King, Gandhi, Romero, Jesus....
• Whether we once and for all cede America to the Corporations forever or, using Healthcare
  as a pivot issue, rise up and take America back from their bloody grasp.
• Whether we win Climate Change legislation  BEFORE COPENHAGEN IN DEC (7th)
  and: 1. literally begin saving Humanity from destruction; and 2. Thereby avoid
  ceding domination of the renewable energy industry to China, if it is not already
  too late for that.
• Whether we suffer the fate of 1920's Germans and through our cowardice, timidity,
  delusion, indecision... allow the Brown Shirt Mob to take utter and final control
  of this country, dooming the world to horrors never seen before.
  

I spend every waking moment on these issues.  I am blessed with the opportunity to
maintain the 28 Year Peace Vigil, but of course that constrains what else I can do.  So,
thanks to the blessing of a laptop and wifi, and a place to sleep
(thanks Angel Ellen) I spend all waking hours per day, when not speaking with folks at the vigil,
combing the country's newspapers - and where I think it might help, I post comments -
these are the pseudo "town hall" meetings I can "reach," and speak up within!  And of course I research, comb hundreds
of articles on Climate Change, and post, and blog, and facebook, and youtube....  The youtube.com/StartLoving1 site
is up to 545 subscribers and receives up to several thousand viewings per day, and many comments.

But, this is wwwaaayyyyy  tooooooooooooooo inadequate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to:

• Be AT these town meetings on the American-Soul-determining Healthcare fight.
• Attending, hosting, supporting, executing, funding every action I conceivably could
  at http://barackobama.com and moveon.org - two EXCELLENT organizations today.
  
• Be Reading and Mastering "The Family" to grasp, and formulate a reaction to the
  deeply Demonic threat these folks constitute.  [MUST SEE DN! segment yesterday]
  
• Be Reading and Mastering Chip Bartlet's work about the Right Wing in America
  that is SOOOO CLOSE to re-emerging and finishing the destruction reeked on
  this land these last 40 years. [MUST SEE DN! segment today]
• Be down in West Virginia getting arrested with the heroic activists standing against
  Mountaintop Removal.

Blogging will slow. Our Beloved Hero Brother is Cricified today, for us.

I'll be with Him as best I can these next 3 days, reading his words, and pondering  His imponderable Love for us.  Gandhi's #1 Hero; ML King's, Romero's, Teresa's, Start's....  Oh, He Loved us so.  I want that same Love within me for us all.  Always have.  My dad had it, pretty much.

My prayer life has been practically nil for months now.  Why?  The final battle for Humanity is so pitched, on so many fronts - Climate Disaster, Democracy, 28 Yr Vigil (dual shifts like Thomas endured all those years), Washington Peace House Integrity, War-De-funding, Connie, Nuclear Arms Reduction, Gaza/Palestine... there has not been time to Pray; just to be a Prayer.  Secondarily, Prayer is NEVER the end, but the means, the means to become the "change we need to be" (Gandhi), to become the "pencil in the hand of God," (Teresa) and my sense is that I've been good enough on these fronts these last months that it was wrong for me to indulge in further Prayer at the expense of using every moment to Wage all out Love at thise most crucial of all years in the History of the world. 

But tonight I couldn't sleep, my body is not yet adjusted to my morning and evening shifts at the 28 Year Vigil, so I had some time for one of my few Prayer techniques - to put myself, to Imagine myself, in the company of Jesus, King, Gandhi, Romero, Teresa, Eleanor, Dellinger, Joan... and to examine their reaction to my being there, for whatever guidance, positive or negative, that this will yield me regarding "how am I doing?"

Well, tonight as I came to them there was no applause, no high-fives, no warm cheers, no warm "Family" embrace... and I want this from them, very much.   But I'm not worthy of this.  Yet.

But they were in the midst of this desperate, to the death, final battle for Humanity.  And they were entirely accepting of me joining them in the fight.   I take this as acceptance enough, for now; affirmation enough, for now.

Remember the final battle of the Lord of the Rings trilogy?  All our (s)heroes are encircled by a totally overwhelming hoard of Evil, remember?  That is the circumstance in which tonight I found Jesus, King, Gandhi, Romero, Teresa, Eleanor....  And their reaction told me that they felt that I belonged along side them in this fight.  I was sufficiently worthy for that. 

This is good.

REAL "change" happens when COMMITMENT EXCEEDS 99.99999%. Now, everything LESS is KILLING HUMANITY'S TIME.

LETTER TO 3 OF OUR GREATEST SHEROES

My beloved sheroes,

I never have expectations of others, for decades now; only of myself. So feel no obligation here. But have I ever sent a more consequential correspondence than this that I send to you three? I don't think so. And I don't know how much longer I'll have the lucidity to correspond on such a grave matter to you three. I pray that you DO find the time to ponder this email deeply. DEEPLY. Yes, I've been drinking water ever since the pot luck evening last wednesday. Why? Because a third sat down and deeply "heard" what I had to say. That, not "agreement," was my condition for ending the Water Strike, from the beginning, to be heard enough by at least three of my Sr. sisters - one had, another did, and then a third. But yes too, this Hunger Strike out in the elements is taking its toll on me pretty rapidly now.

You three have been for over a year now, and remain the only folks I know that could lead the beginning of the end of the cancer that is in final stage of ending Civilization (all of the science as summarized in Plan B 3.0). Do you believe in science? I do.

YOU THREE are the only hope I see for the the beginning of the MIRACLE IT WILL TAKE. Miracle? Has a civilization ever saved itself? Not the Sumerians. Not the Jews of Jesus time. Not the Romans. Not the Greeks. Not the Mayans. Not the pre-Nazi Germans, not the pre-Nazi Jews (a pretty freeking smart group, at that).... Apparently the Icelanders (their cows) were grazing themselves out of existence, and reversed course hundreds of years ago, and did save themselves; but that is about it.

MIRACLE is what it will take to save civilization, including the U.S. - your nieces, nephews, kids world; their kid's world - from the environmental "life support collapse" we are in the final stages of unleashing.... BUT PEOPLE MAKE MIRACLES HAPPEN, OR AT LEAST, THEY MAKE MIRACLES INFINITELY MORE LIKELY. BUT IT COSTS EVERYTHING. Getting the DOD budget is the beginning of the end. And without the DOD budget WE WILL NOT STOP GAZA, WILL NOT STOP GUANTANIMOS.... With a $1 TRILLION BUDGET DOD WILL CONTINUALLY CREATE $1 TRILLION HELL!!! Everything else is straightening the deck chairs on the Titanic. LET'S GO FOR THE WHOLE THING! Every second that I take a breath I am open to, and searching myself for a better plan.

WEDNESDAY 12/31 RETAKING THE HILL 7/24

For those of you who join some thoughts:

• FAR AND AWAY the most difficult part is NEVER being able lay prone 7 /24. Call Bev at Relax The Back Store in Wilmington DE and she will cut you the best price she can, and express out to you (your cost) most of the following: 2 Cascade Camp seat cushions, 1 Roho seat cushion, 1 Obus High Back. Get the $20 Mtn Chair from Eastern Mtn Sports. I don't see how you can make it with less than these.
• COLD. You DO seem to be able to have sleeping bag. Have as warm a one as you can for day and night use.
• WET. This is a huge potential enemy. Rain pants, umbarella, 6 INDUSTRIAL SIZE - STRENGTH GARBAGE BAGS. EMS / REI have "emergency blankets / space blankets" of the medium strength variety, like a tarp. I duct-tape on into a mummy bag for my sleeping bag lower to go into for dryness, and the other I arrange over my upper for overnight vigil in rain.
  
• In many months there I've not been arrested and only rarely hassled. Maintining the Vigil in all regards including apperance is key. Most of the officers are extremely respectful of genuine courage.
  
• Even with hundreds of us, this is not a social event, it is war, waging love to save civilization - 7/24.
• Reading / listening to appropriate material is necessary for sanity and "the work." "Learn as though you were going to live forever." I have an extensive mp3 audio book library to share.
  
• NATURE CALLS: By the time you join Congress is likely to be in session which means 7-7 restroom is available. Otherwise, NOT. NOT weekends. Think bottles.
• Remember, we are an army and need to maintain decorum.
• No public wifi. No public AC.
• Little or no support.
• ... you know, like every revolutinary force in history - fighting from the trenches. WHEN HISTORY IS CHANGED, IT IS FROM THE TRENCHES. "If you love the poor, you will share their fate." Oscar Romero.

Hi beloved [friend.] Along with a 16 year old "angel" from New Haven Catholic Worker and the first genuine, non-hypocrite "Pastor / Priest" that maybe I've yet encountered (Steve Miller, and YES he's been "fired" from the church for non-hypocrisy[see today's posts]!) got out after 27 hours of jail after arrest at the White House for lying on the sidewalk still, dead, as a Nagasaki/Hiroshima victim. White House and Archdiocese of the Military (THE MOST EVIL EVER COMBINATION OF WORDS?) will go up in the next day or so I'm sure if you check back on their site. (continued below)
If I have met only one living saint it may be Margaret McKenna pictured below, creator of Philadelphia's New Jerusalem. I've tried for maybe 8 years to meet her, and it never worked out. Now, we've been arrested together! Meet her. All of you, each of you, meet her. Know her. Help in her work. For yourself. She defines humility. She defines peace. She defines the presence of "God." She is completely non-dogmatic, profoundly agreeing (I perceive) as I told her I believed that "Loving" is the only true religion. She is maybe the closest encounter yet I have had of God; not a lot closer encounter than you beloved sister and several others have given me; and maybe not closer than my bio-father. Margaret must be known. She must be helped. SHE MUST BE LEARNED FROM. Tell her you are my sister, my "family." I've told her of you. i think she Loves me. (more below).

Not that it bothered me personally but the DC White House Arrest I've just been released from, and specifically how "the system" treats human beings (poor, defenseless, outside the "power structure," for parking tickets and the like - chains, shackles, pens, cages, sleep deprivation, toilet paper deprivation, food deprivation, water deprivation, 27 hour whimsical life/liberty/"human rights" deprivation...), dozens of us that I personally witnessed, is possibly the greatest inhuman evil that personally I've ever touched; evil I expect I cannot walk away from.

I don't mean to alarm you, and you know by now that often, OFTEN, early in hearing one of my "callings" I get Her intention wrong and do NOT move forward, but I've also promised to be honest with you and keep you informed. I'll be writing of my experience and plans over the next few days and will post on this and the Brigade of PeaceMakers blog. As I sit here the morning after release, I find myself "Called" to violate the conditions of my release (8 hours community service; service I'll do anyway at a place I've long wanted to serve, CCNV, but not report that service and hence the "violation") and to their surprise and anger, re-present myself with total peace and respect to the officials of the system (part of my family) for re-arrest but now acting with complete and profound non-cooperation - being a piece of limp meat - complete non-cooperation with this consummately evil system of violence to our brothers and sisters. Gandhi and others are correct in saying that, "Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good." And, as Oscar Romero predicted, "Those committed to the poor must share the same fate as the poor."

About 15 years ago a premonition swept over me that I would be homeless. I was living in "my" $500k West Chester house that I built on Cloverly Road at the the time. TA-DA! A year or so ago I had a similar premonition, but this time that I would die, murdered by the system for non-cooperation with evil in prison.

Truly I am sorry to worry you; probably without basis. I will share more with you when it is written over the next few days.

Why is so much attention being paid to Romero twenty years after his death. Why does he matter to so many people? Should we focus so much on the actions of one individual? The message from El Salvador and across Latin America is that Romero and his message still live on – as he prophesied. The people still gain enormous strength from their memories of him and the words he left behind. His sainthood was assumed almost immediately and the people’s faith in themselves is strengthened by the memory of his faith in them. They commonly say: “St Romero of the Americas, pray for us”.

Only by offering all of our

- will peace / kingdom / nirvana /

universal joy reign.

Oh my. How Divine. I'm spending days with Oscar Romero's book, "The Violence of Love." !!! IT IS FREE ONLINE !!!!!

And so far the 10 hours or so is just massaging it technically so I can listen when next week I take up the vigil again here in DC.

But I've just noticed a passage that leaves me breathless with its profound encompassing of practically all that I'm learning and valuing:

The "Cross" is the most perverted of concepts by "A Christian." One who is "Christian," one who has the eyes of Family, of Love sees this in the cross - JOY / LIFE / LOVE / PEACE:

OUR "IMPACT" EQUALS HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME

If I spend my time selling stuff [adictions] to the materially rich [which is how I spent most of my life], that is what my impact is. Despite how much money I make a give to the "poor" in the process what $ I spend has NOTHING to do with what my impact is.

How can that be?

• The world is clinically sick.
• The world needs mass Therapy, not more Stuff, Superiority or Systems / Institutions.
