### No friends in deed. Mission will take place regardless, beginning Friday barring any major disasters. A little bit of lip service but no help has materialized regarding Logistics or occasional lodging or shelter from likely hurricanes, no money for food, the trip will take place anyway. If there is a perfect metaphor for what my nervous system is calling me to do I haven't yet found it. Fishing Expedition captures some of it, the inability to see where the fish are but one takes One's best shot and place,  for a while, and then moves on and repeats. But there is also an element of being a cultivator of life, a sower of seeds, that I find in this call. Another metaphor, and a better one I think, is, Exploring for Life in US.  This encompasses the aspect of attempting to be a source of seeds, a sewer of seeds. Particularly if one keeps in mind the notion of, searching for Life on Mars, it incorporates the aspect of truly not knowing if there are any subpopulations or individuals in America above the age of two or three years old that can support the life of the child that is born within all of us, unconditionally loving, filled with wonder, awe, amazement. If what I'm saying seems insulting to anyone I'm okay with that. In the sheer fact that no support has emerged for this mission I don't take it personally, I take it as affirmation that even the subgroup with whom I've been in communication many for a long time now, what Gandhi considered life, the love of a mother for her child, but spread Universally, it just isn't there. I'm not denigrating anyone. I'm not elevating myself. Although I think I'm infinitely more healthy now than I was even 15 years ago, spiritually, psychologically, I was doing my absolute best then, I'm doing my absolute best now. Nothing more can be asked of any individual. But I assess that I was infinitely less healthy then. And I assess that even those with whom I have been in close communication with maybe one or two exceptions, lack what is the life that has animated the great Souls throughout history that are possessed by, seek to be possessed by, this Spirit within them that they can't control but that they can submit to, be it called conscience, heart, soul, wisdom, Loving , Divine insanity, solidarity with the neediest Among Us. The first of roughly 3,000 miles, and then 5 or ten Thousand Miles subsequently around the country begins on Friday barring any major disasters in final preparation of this vehicle.

In the last several days I have realized that I am much more alone in the mission of life than I had realized, and I knew I was very alone. I have realized that many who I thought were friends are not, indeed. I experience the truth as liberating and empowering,  regardless of how harsh or sad it may be.

Although I can't imagine ever killing anyone, I realize that every day there are fewer and fewer humanoids that if they were dying by the side of road, I would stop to help them. I feel only sadness in saying this, but I.......

I feel only sadness in saying this, but I realize it is true. All but one in a million humanoids in 2015 are already dead, already spiritually dead, already spiritually death. And also infants, and toddlers, are the exception, but by the time they are two or three or four or five they near certainly will be spiritually dead in this culture. I live for the living, and those few who still have a spark of life that could come to full blaze. There are so few, any more. But there never were a fraction as many as I thought there were. I've spent my whole life resisting the notion that Jesus meant what he said, the gate is narrow and few will enter in. He saw, he had the courage to see early in his life, what I am only finding the courage and wisdom to see now.

SPDF Day 34: vlog. My unrecognized assumptions at the beginning of this death fast are not working out terribly well

My unrecognized assumptions at the beginning of this death fast are not working out terribly well.  I'm thinking of two unrecognized assumptions in particular:

1.  That the, immediacy, the horror, the barbarity of the west's terrororization of Palestine yielded a situation that was concrete enough that we walking dead Americans would show a heightened response, any increased propensity to tap into our humanity and respond.
2.  The other unrecognized assumption is that the Palestinians, both the Palestinians in Palestine that maybe somehow become aware of this death fast campaign, and the Palestinians in the United States Diaspora, would have a readiness greater than any other population I've seen thus far, to be drawn to an understanding of the necessity and unique power of the death fast.

All evidence that I have so far suggest that these were entirely false assumptions. 

Today for example several different small groups of Palestinians stopped by an identified themselves during my 12 hour campaign at the White House.  I found no more sense of urgency, no more sense of immediate family kinship between themselves and the Palestinians being tormented in Palestine, then I've experienced in other populations concerned with global warming, for example.  This is very disturbing and somewhat shocking to me.  It certainly was unanticipated by me, and as I reflect more broadly on observations I can make I do not find these reactions today to be abnormal or an exception.  I've had significant contact with people concerned with Palestine through my face book interchange up until about a week ago, and it became ever more apparent that they were involved, as is the chicken, but not committed as is the pig.

This will factor into my thinking as to how far to take this death fast.  If a tree felled in the wilderness does not make a sound does it make sense to finely chopped it down?

In the movie the Matrix we're led to believe there are millions or billions of humanoid creatures.  What we see in the movie, do we consider them people who are alive?  Except for those fighting with their lives for the well being of humanity, that one in a million, no!  Central to the notion of the movie, we do not view them as humans,  live humans!

We don't look down on them!  We're not lead to be derogatory to them!  We're not lead to feel superior to them!  But absolutely we are led to understand them as not-alive, walking dead people.

And the one in a million that are alive don't go away on vacation someplace, they fight with their vary beings to try and give life to the millions or billions that have been deprived of it!

Tomorrow is Easter, a pagan holiday, candy, an orgy of food, surely one of the most segregated, least Christ-ian, least Universal-Family  days on the planet.  Totally un Christ like.  But somewhere tucked in  there is the memory of a man named Jesus who in the best way he knew how, gave his life exactly and precisely to wake up his fellow human beings who he's saw to a person to be walking dead people.

Were Jesus is to be alive today, were Neo and Morpheus to be alive today, would they see things any differently than they did in the time that they existed?  They would not!

And in the case of The Matrix, Jean Baudriallard, the French philosopher, conceived of that story exactly to show us what he thought we were in his lifetime, which I understand was written in the late nineties or thereabouts.

Was Jean slandering, belittling, looking down on... us?

Was Jesus slandering us?  Jesus was horrified for us.  He did do anything and everything with his life for the sole purpose of trying to give life to us.

Morpheus and Neo did the same!

I see it the same way as they did that and do. EXACTLY.

I want more than anything for life to come to my current brothers and sisters for themselves and so that there is life for all of creation in the future.  And like them, no credit to me, so far I am aware of no price I wouldn't pay to give a prayer of that happening.

NOTICE: The exceptions prove the rule.  ISM, Indigenous peoples standing against the machine, some of the Christian Peacemaker Teams....  But that's about it. They obey. They find their self-worth in the prestige and power of the corporation, in the status of their positions and in their career promotions. They assure themselves of their own goodness through their private acts as husbands, wives, mothers and fathers. They sit on school boards. They go to Rotary. They attend church. It is moral schizophrenia. They erect walls to create an isolated consciousness. They make the lethal goals of ExxonMobil or Goldman Sachs or Raytheon or insurance companies possible. They destroy the ecosystem, the economy and the body politic and turn workingmen and -women into impoverished serfs. They feel nothing. Metaphysical naiveté always ends in murder. The epitaph on everything good will be that the citizens of the world's superpower found that there was nothing beyond themselves, not even their children, that they would die for.  Nothing could be more self evident for the truth seeker, but the truth seeker would die for the truth, and we have virtually none today, which is another way of stating the same epitaph - Americans chose denial over Truth and the result was the destruction of all that was good, forever.

Young Gandhi was in the process of becoming a lawyer .  But he encountered two books that caused his life to do a 180 when he was a young man studying in England.  One of the books was Tolstoy's "The Kingdom of God is Within You."  The other was .four essays actually, by John Ruskin   . An idea that was central to those essays was the assessment that the the British population could be best understood as being comprised of five groups, Doctors ,lawyers, Ministers, soldiers, Merchants.  What was considered most important in these essays was that four of the five groups could be expected to give their lives for their clients when circumstances called for it.  But that one of the populations, merchants, could be depended on to never do so, and to only serve their own selfish interests.  Thereby they were considered a cancer on society, by other words than these.

In 2015 American these essays would clearly have the state that no population any longer existed, with the possible exception of soldiers, who would die for anything but themselves .

This is why there is no hope to save Palestine, to stop ecocide, to save the last remaining remnants of democracy or any economic life worth living in America.

(the following is far from neatly written and thought out but it is an explosive advance, for me, this afternoon, in terms of my understanding of these issues)

When Religion moves from 'as if' it were True, to 'IT IS THE TRUTH' it moves from Life Giving to Death Giving

Religion is often on my mind because it is central to the single greatest evil on earth today - the slow torture genocide of my Muslim / Christian family in Palestine by Fundamentalist US christians and Israeli jews.  This is forcing me into study of Islam, Judaism, fundamentalism (christian and jewish)... that otherwise I would not undertake:

Human Religion is NEVER the Truth, Reality because we Humans are in imperfect species.

And... It is virtually impossible for a human to exist without a 'Religion' - world view, understanding of how things work, belief system.

And it is Impossible to Thrive Spiritually and Physically without a comprehensive, healthy, Holistic, Truth-Approximating Religion that enables one to keep all aspects of their needs as humans optimally met, and those of the people they influence, most importantly young-ones. (Adamant 'Blindness' to this is maybe the most fatal flaw of the Left.)

One of the greatest scientific minds, EO Wilson, is in the news recent days for his stance in an upcoming book that the world is dying from religion. I often have this thought.  But seeing this from him makes me recall that no one does not have a 'religion,' a 'belief system,' a way of 'seeing and understanding' the world. 

What may well destroy the world, and what DOES destroy any individual 'spiritually' (the only existence that matters) is not Religion, which is Indispensable and Unavoidable, but Fundamentalism, that is, when one  moves from understanding that their way of seeing the world is NOT REALITY, NOT TRUE... that the world, the Creator, is REAL, TRUE, and that our religion at best can only approximate that Truth, Reality... to the error of 'believing' their Religion to be True, Realty, and therefore 1. The Only True religion (all others being inferior) and 2. Dead, Fixed, no longer moving closer to the Truth, Reality... and probably 'Killing' anyone and anything that IS moving toward them.  Making this mistake is the False Idol that Jesus spoke of, and the 'Tribal' religions that cause so many genocidal wars.  Making this mistake is when 'religion' becomes 'dry as dust,' or, 'a social club with a thin veneer of reality,' whether this fatal mistake is made by a christian, jew, scientist or atheist, liberal or conservative.  

The US left, Liberals, are mostly Fundamentalists.  They believe they know the Truth - education, science, equality, rationality... whatever.

The US right conservatives are mostly Fundamentalists - 'christian' (they couldn't be more anti-Christlike), terrified of change, 'religiously' selfish in principal... whatever.

The one in a million Great Humans are so exactly because they never make the Deadly Error of becoming Fundamentalist in their Belief. 

All Fundamentalist make themselves less than human, sub-human, truly 'Dead,' Dead to moving closer to Reality, Truth... they surrender their 'Image' as children of the Creator by taking on their Fundamentalists beliefs as Truth, Reality, rather than Facing, Embracing that their Religion is at best a means of best living even though we can never know Truth, Reality being the imperfect beings that we are... and that their Religion can, and needs to, constantly improve, move more toward the Truth, Reality.

Fundamentalism is clinical delusion, insanity, mental illness.  It is divorce from reality, truth... that we can never know Reality, Truth.

Fundamentalism of the left, the liberals, academic elites... is destroying all life on earth materially and destroying much human goodness by ignoring the moral limits and boundaries the human needs for Health and Survival.

Fundamentalism on the right, the conservatives... is destroying life regionally - christian Fundamentalists exterminating a million in Iraq, torturing millions in Palestine, literally trying to bring about Armageddon.  muslim fundamentalists are killing thousands in Nigeria, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria.... jewish fundamentalists are driving much of the US christian Fundamentalist insanity and mid-east Islamic Fundamentalist insanity. Fundamentalists on the right are thereby moving us to global annihilation by nuclear war.
