The virulent, malignancy that is the cultural notion of “nuclear family” is only seriously explored in one movie that I know of:  Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.  Yes.  My recollection is that we see young Anakin Skywalker, fall in Love with Padme, then fall  OUT of Love in to Lust with her as his ‘wife,’ and the insanity of Lust turns him into it’s instrument, it’s insane ‘slave’ … and like every addict… eventually… he will destroy everything, EVERYTHING, EVERYONE… to protect his ‘fix,’ his ‘Family.’

“Nuclear Family” is our Padme. It was MY Padme.  There is no one, no population, no duty, no decency, no humanity... we won’t ignore, neglect, sacrifice, torture, terrorize and ultimately kill to protect our ‘Padme,’ our ‘Nuclear Family,’ me and mine.

Today I sent a small claim petition to the Denton County Justice of the Peace. T...he sole purpose of the petition is to trigger a conversation. My goal is to meet and talk, relying the petition content to guide a transparent discussion.

------------DG, for me it is only within the last two weeks that this understanding above has taken a quantum leap within me and lodged deep in my being (I hope.)  About 30 years ago, as you know better than I I suspect, some MIT professors(?) published, "Limits to Growth," and last year or so published an update confirming their findings that - we were (and at an accelerating rate continue) raping and plundering ourselves out of existence. They were showing us that on earth life had become a zero sum game - unless everyone lived according to their need, instead of to their greed (taking more than their global share), we were consuming ourselves QUICKLY, IMMINENTLY, out of existence.  AT LEAST the top 20% economically in the US (and other Developed countries now) are consuming at 10's to 1000's of times our share (as I did my first 50 years or so).  AT LEAST the top 20% economically, and possibly the top 60-80% (lower middle class and up).  Earth is headed, as you know, quickly, toward 10 billion people.  At the consumption of folks in India this can be sustained!  At the consumption of Americans... earth can only support 2 billion people - TOTAL (we're currently over 7 billion).  EVERYTHING... ANYONE... CONSUMES MORE THAN THEIR GLOBAL SHARE - IS STARVATION TO 5 TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE -  IT IS MURDER, and now, not just of we humans, and we destitute masses of the world... but to all of earthly Creation.

*  I do NOT mean family of the sort where one member has power OVER another.  NO.  NEVER.

*  I have a Dream, born of 55 years of relatively intense learning, that this is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE, IT IS LITERALLY WHAT OUR DNA HAS DESIGNED US TO DO, but not 'naturally' in Morally Toxic Wasteland such as 2013 Culture of our Neglectful, near certainly now Terminal, Ecocidal, Clinically Mad... creation.

* I have a Dream that I, and You, are to JOYFULLY, WITHOUT HESITATION, FOR THE GREEDY JOY OF IT, GIVE OUR LIVES IN WHAT EVER IMMEDIATE (figuratively jumping on a grenade to save others), or over-a-lifetime, like Diane Wilson, Alice Paul, Susan B. Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt) way...

to give Life, and mitigate Suffering of another(s)...

Because there is nothing more Wonderful, Heavenly, that we can see, than this World of Universal Family, nor anything more Horrible than the NEEDLESS SUFFERING, EVERY NANO-SECOND, THAT ITS COMING IS DELAYED.  "A person that does not know what she would die for, is not equipped to live." MLK Jr.
