But I could not convince myself that those appalled at this picture don't include a large percentage that just finished a steak dinner, a bacon and egg breakfast, and a burger for lunch. Included a large percentage that have never put themselves In Harm's Way to stop The Butchery of roughly 4 Palestinians per week by American dollars, bombs, and political support. Americans, if we want to be appalled we don't need to look at someone from a foreign land on a foreign Beach. We Slaughter about 15 million of our fellow creatures for our entertainment and enjoyment, per day. Just look in the mirror.

The revolution is not , more Justice for we, all of us, grotesquely overprivileged Americans, which by every global standard we are. The revolution is Justice for the least of these our Global sisters and brothers. You, I, have a simple test. Are we truly, actually, really, in truth, living at or near the Golden Rule as stated by Gandhi, which is the measure of our Brotherhood, our solidarity, or sanity, our decency, our worthiness, our loving, or not? Are we consuming more than our absolute need, as measured by our neediest sisters and brothers on Earth? Are we consuming more than our share, as measured by our neediest sisters and brothers on Earth? Those of us that continue to live our grotesque hypocrisy richly deserve the cataclysm that will befall our children. Our children, and our Global neediest sisters and brothers, however, do not. Only living full solidarity with the global media is the revolution. That is the only Revolution that has ever been possible, and the only one yet to be tried.

We know almost instinctively and reflexively because we have heard it so often, that we cannot, cannot, cannot, change anyone else to achieve the change we want to see in that personal relationship. We can only change our self. But the left, the best intended, the most informed, rarely if ever carry that understanding into an arena where it is not a one on one personal relationship, but probably a situation involving many many many many people. But nothing changes with respect to the fact that the only thing that one can change is one self. I think my moment by moment reaction to the evils, the atrocities, that I spend all day studying around the world, first and foremost in Palestine, one way or another this is my reaction time and time and time again. I am horrified at the otherwise well-intended people that work to make President Obama change, the Republicans change, the deprived and frightened white people in this country change, Netanyahu change, the UN, the oil industry...change.
