Even
if I am as correct and consistent in my views, within the immensely
narrow frame of what America considers 'life' in which I operate, I have
no trouble imagining why my comments could seem inconsistent to even
you. The hypocrisy of America is one issue I take on - over the span of
our existence starting with the Genocidiary Columbus; over the span of
our lifetime - Vietnam War, allowing Reagan in office, allowing GW
TWICE!!!, exterminating peasants in South America, 500,000 in Iraq for
oil....
So, with posts like the above I call out our hypocrisy, for the
learning that doing so could possibly spark, as facing such evils has been
changing, teaching, me these many years now; excruciating - Life giving.
But, where as we Americans have been objectively, a plague on
Creation, that does not absolve me from standing for actions, NOW, that I find
necessary in the here and now, for people here and now, and for the
next 1000 generations.
The major openness I've expressed to the bombing
of Syria (or the bombing, killing of me, for that matter... I'd
gladly, EAGERLY die this moment...) is for the chance of crashing the
Global Economy - STOPPING THE ENGINES OF TITANIC II, BEFORE IT HITS THE
FOSSIL FUEL ICEBERG.
If it cost my life; if it cost the lives of all 7
billion of us alive today, so that the next 200 billion people have what
they won't have otherwise, a habitable planet, I'd GREEDILY pay that
price personally, and I'm willing to see that price paid by us all today - who are
not doing what my father's generation did by the millions - put
everything they had, everything they were, everything they valued, their
lives and the well-being of their families - in the way, on the line,
to stop the existential threat to the future, of their time.
