Winter storm watch for tomorrow and Wednesday. Connie's spirit is indomitable,
but her body? And, although it defies all reason and logic, she is right to persist,
as did Gandhi, King, Mandela, Macias.... I know how tired I am after this last storm, and compared
to her, I'm a HULK! She'll make it, I suspect, but your prayers will be welcome.
It takes her 35-50 minutes to make the walk, each way. Her habits for walking safely
are, well, um, suicide. Between her helmet, her age, her habits.... :-(
Thank God she carries a flashing light (that can only be seen from one
direction :-( ). Today I'll try to get her another.
As of this morning there is a good 15-20" of snow still blocking the car in
the driveway, and the back ally, although tracked, is too treacherous for
me to get the car out by myself, so she will be continuing to walk.
Yup, your prayers will give her some Insurance.
